This one was hard, really really hard. Mostly cause two of the later days are favourite protagonist and antagonist and I had to figure out who those would be so I could figure out who gets the runner up spot here. Then I thought about side characters and it really just muddied the water more.
Then I decided there could be only one.
Vincent Valentine - Final Fantasy 7
Since the day I first laid eyes on him in the manual (hours upon hours before I would actually see him in game) when I declared him my favourite character, right up to and after high school when he actually made me some new friends (and fellow fangirls) he had been one of my favourites.
I bought Dirge of Cerberus just because he was the main character and I enjoyed it. That’s how much I like this guy.
I always kind of enjoyed his sort of random personality, yelling “Hit the Breaks Chief!” seems kind of out of character for a normal stoic vampire man. All the weird stuff he does in advent children, the obsession with his phone, small things like that are one of the big reasons I think he is so damn awesome.
Random side note, I almost picked Reeve from FF7, you know the guy who controlled Cait Sith? The one with like three lines of dialogue and kidnaps a little girl? Yeah he is a close second favourite. For no reason at all. I liked him that much before Dirge of Cerberus where he, you know, does stuff.
